Justin Baumann is a visiting assistant professor / lecturer in Statistical and Data Sciences at Smith College and Biological Sciences at Mount Holyoke College. His lab researchers the effects of climate change on tropical coral reef and temperate intertidal ecosystems with focuses on Caribbean reefs and the Gulf of Maine. He teaches broadly across the SDS and Biology curriculum, including courses on experimental design and hypothesis testing, data analysis and visualization, and applied statistics. Outside of work, Justin also coaches the MHC Ultimate team and is an avid ultimate player. He also enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading, and hanging out with his dog :)
